Leo Tolstoy

"I wanted movement and not a calm course of existence. I wanted excitement and danger and the chance to sacrifice myself for my love. I felt in myself a superabundance of energy which found no outlet in our quiet life. "

There is a trend these days
for minimalism that I see in
many magazines - a wash of white, black and beige.

I understand this quiet,
minimal approach, but frankly,
if I had to come home every day
to such a bland palette, it would
put me to sleep.
